Love

Valentines is just around the corner and it means different things to different people.

When I was younger it’s about who is my sweetheart?   Do I have a sweetheart?  Will I ever find true love?

Then when you find your true love… Valentines is romance… how people celebrate that is as individual as they are.

For people like me who’ve been in long-term relationship, that notion of romance changes over the years.   I found this article which is quite an interesting read for anyone who has been in a long-term relationship, or for those who wonder what the “next stage” can be like.

Jordan and I have been together for 18 years now – married for almost 15 – I love him dearly.  We have been through a lot together.   This article really struck a note with me regarding the shift that romantic love takes somewhere between day to day life, changing diapers and witnessing each other change and grow with age.  It becomes something much more deep,  profound and different from what I ever expected love and romance to be at this stage of my life.

Photographing people is about memorializing their relationships.   I love to capture the essence of love and joy,  a look, a glimpse of how you feel about that person.   That moment can live and be treasured for an eternity in a photograph.

So this Valentines and the “season of love”… whoever your sweetheart may be, your new beau, your beautiful children, your lifelong partner  – it is important to immortalize that relationship with a beautiful photo.

Book a “Love Session” this February and receive an additional Framed 5×7 for your bedside or office table!   Valid for new sessions only or in a Gift Certificate for future use.
